Match report What should have been an easy win turned into a last ball nervous twitch for the manager of the U17 the almost prostrate calm of Brotherhood hitting the last ball to the boundary.
Earlier Enderby had Hinckley 33-5 off 10 overs before Caddy and Williams got hold of the bowling of Jat Sandher and Sandev Gohla making use of the short boundary on one side and the fast outfield.Caddy finished on 28 and Williams 30 .
Enderby replied with Blanksby and |Harrison opening the batting again. At 39 the first wicket fell Harrison our for 21 in the 8 over, Monksfield the next man in adding 14 before Blanksby fell for 23.
12 overs had now gone with 54 on the board so 41 in 6 overs game on.
As the 16 over was compleated Enderby needed 14 to win.
8 was scored in the penultimate over so 6 to win in the last over.
The penny dropped as instead of blood and guts Monksfield and Brotherhood manouvered the ball until 1 was needed off the last ball Brotherhood pulling to square leg for 4.
