Enderby Cricket Club Won by 5 runs.

Match report Enderby and Rothley played a tense match that went to the wire on Saturday with a 5 run win for the home side.
Enderby were put into bat by The Rothley skipper with Sam Blanksby and Matt Weaver opening.This pair put on 59 in 22 overs before Blanksby fell to the excellent off spinner Simpson.Wickets then fell at regular intervals with only Andy Brotherhood showing application .Hesketh and spinners Simpson and Glennen all returned impressive figures as Enderby ultimately crawled to 124 off the 45 overs for the loss of 7 wickets.
At Tea it was obvious that Rothley were confident of getting to the target and that Enderby had it all to do ,it was imperative that Enderby fielded well to get any sort of result.
Things did not start well as the Enderby skipper tried his seam attack before turning to Sandher at the pavilion end with his left arm spin.
The breakthrough came in Sandhers` first over as he bowled the opener Williams.
He then sent the other opener to the pavilion and at 63-2 off 23 overs it was pretty much even steven.
A talk after the drinks break brought renewed vigor and with Brotherhood at the Blaby Road end Enderby started to think they had a chance as Sandher took two more wickets. Brotherhood joined the party dropping one short for the batsman to fall into the trap as Sandher fielding at Square leg took a sharp catch.
Turner and Astley both took further catches as Enderby became favourites to win with Rothley now on 90-8 .Hesketh at the crease decided that attack was the best form of defence as he hit out at Brotherhood and Sandher he took the score up to 119 the pendulum had swung back to Rothley. The wily Brotherhood contined to back miself pushed one through Hesketh charged and the excellent Turner wipped the bails off 119-9.
Sandher then with his second ball of the 43rd over had the last man LBW for a dramatic 5 run win.
Another good day in the field with Sandher returning figures of 8-18 off 15.2 overs and Brotherhood 2-33 off 13 no dropped catches and fine ground fielding from all. However batting needs to be more resilient and remains a concern for the Captain.
