Enderby C.C. held their A.G.M. on Thursday last where New captains were elected for both senior teams and carrying on from small beginnings it was decided that a sunday team would be reintroduced.
The 1st team captain for 2010 will be Steve Coulson who joined us late in the 2009 season and made an instant impact with the 1st team.
Andy Moore takes over for a second spell as captain in the 2`s after Dave Harrison decided to hang his boots up and retire from playing cricket 17 years after joining the club.
Steve Shipley asked about reforming the Sunday XI on a more formal basis and it was agreed that H would organise a selection of fixtures for the coming season.
We will also be playing again on a Tuesday in the evening league so there is plenty of opportunity of competative cricket over next season.
At U17 level Rob Rooney has decided to take on the managers job.
Steve Shipley has taken on the U15 and Dave Haden the U13.
If numbers are sufficient an additional side at experimental or U11 hardball will also be taken on along with Kwick cricket, managers at these age groups are still required.
Laura Moore has volunteered to be the Welfare Officer an important job with us moving towards Clubmark.
The rest of the officers of the club remain the same.
Terry gave his report on the finances of the club which showed the Enderby C.C. despite the recession were in a healthy state and continues to move forward towards what will hopefully be a successful 2010.

08 Jul 2009 : Conners on his 10fer!!
Enderby bowler Chris Conway takes all 10 wickets against Ashby Ivanhoe Seconds
Enderby seamer Chris Conway achieved every bowler's dream when he took all 10 wickets in an innings.
The 27-year-old claimed all of the Ashby Hastings Seconds' wickets in an Everards County League Division Four clash to earn his side a 75-run victory.
And he performed his heroics despite feeling under the weather and almost missing the start of the match at his home ground, Mill Lane.
"We normally meet at 12.30," he said. "But I was feeling a bit rough and did not get there until about twenty to two."
He did not get a bat in the Enderby innings, which closed on 202-7.
But he opened the bowling in the Ashby reply and claimed the first three wickets in his opening spell of seven overs.
He returned to the attack 14 overs later and gradually worked his way through the order.
Conway hit the stumps seven times with his other three victims being caught.
And he singled out one of his team-mates, Dave Haden, for special praise.
"I think it was the fifth wicket," he said. "I've never seen a ball hit so hard and Dave took a blinding catch in the covers."
Conway's main concern was to win the match for his side but, by time he claimed his ninth wicket, with the fifth ball of his 18th over, he realised something special was beckoning.
The Ashby No.11 survived the last ball of the over, and no wickets fell in the following over, bowled by Haden.
Conway completed the full set when he hit the stumps with the fourth ball of his next over and Ashby were all out for 127. He finished with figures of 18.4-7-43-10.
"We get quite a few down there and they all came out to watch when it got to eight and nine," he said.
"I really never thought I would do anything like that, I couldn't believe it. Everyone came up to mob me."
Conway has been connected with the Enderby club since he began playing for the juniors at the age of nine.
His mother, Sylvia, is the club chairman and his father, Geoff, the vice-chairman. And Geoff bought the drinks after the game to celebrate a memorable occasion.
06 Jul 2009 : Dave Clarke Trophy
Enderby CC win Dave Clarke Trophy
In a 3 way 20/20 Tournament involving local rivals Cosby CC and hosts Countesthorpe CC, Enderby emerged victorious after a hard fought victory in the final against the hosts.
After the hosts thrashed Cosby in the opening game, Enderby's first game was against Cosby, knowing that a win would send them through to the final.
Despite the team indulging in many beverages, Ultimately Enderby were too strong for Cosby who were restricted to 116-9 with fine bowling from most of the team, including Hayden, Sandher, Moore, Smith and Mackey. Conway's fine figures being ruined by his last over of "Spin" which included a reverse sweep by former player Nick "baz" Baker.
Enderby successfully chased this down with former player Jimmy Smith making an appearance and marking it with a well made 50 odd not out! Also featuring for Enderby CC was the first Girl to play for a Senior Side, Charlotte Hutley.
With time running over, the group match between Enderby and Countesthorpe became a straight fight for the Trophy.
Enderby fielded first and soon had Countesthorpe in trouble. Hayden bowling dangermen Coughlin who had earlier scored 97, and Coulson, and also having a 3rd player caught in the gully by Jag. Hibberd threatened to put Countesthorpe back into the game but was soon also back in the hut along with 3 others from Excellent stumpings by Jimmy Smith. Only a stand at the end enabled Countesthorpe to limp to 110 after a fine performance all around in the field and one that needs replicating on a saturday for both teams.
Enderby started confidently with Smith and Mackey at the crease. Mackey eventually fell but Smith was still there and plugging us towards the 111 target. Wickets continued to fall however at the other end and when Smith eventually fell to a good catch on the boundary the game looked to be slipping away. Johnstone and Conway both had important knocks that again swung the contest in our favour but both fell in quick succession. Out strode debutent Matt Short and stuck to the job in hand despite a barrage of abuse from the unliked and cocky Countesthope team. With 8 needed a fantastic cover shot from Short for 4 put enderby on the brink. A few balls later and it was all over as a wide bunger from the countesthorpe bowler evaded both keeper and fine leg and the ball sailed over the bondary giving Enderby the Trophy.
